Information about February.

February is the shortest month of the year.It has less than 30 days ,28 day normally but on a leap year it has 29 days.

February flower is the violet and primrose.

The birthstone for people born in February is the amethyst.

February is my favourite month for many reasons.I like the weather in February, It´s usually cold ,rainy and windy and that means days in front of a warm fire and families watching tv together.February is a short month but has two of my favourite holidays , Carnival and Valentines day.

February is my favourite month, Tell me what is yours?

January is the first month of the year . Do you know that the stone that represents January is the garnet.

It is the coldest month of the year on the northern hemisphere. People always believe that January is the wettest month in the year but it is not. Do you know what month has the most rainfall in England?

Let me know if you do.

The Steve Jobs Time Capsule

May 20, 2014  Written by Tim Sullivan   Published in Did You Know....?, This, That & The Other

Diggers capsule

At the Aspen International Design Conference in 1983, Steve Jobs (the founder of Apple Computers) gave a speech that spoke about the future of technology. He used a “Lisa Mouse” — one of the first computer mouse sold in shops during his presentation. After the presentation, the people who were there donated various items to be put in a time capsule, and Jobs donated the Lisa mouse that helped him in his presentation. The capsule was called the “Aspen Time Tube”, and buried in an Aspen field for excavation years later. Unfortunately, the time capsule was lost — until now.

Lisa mouse

During  the filming of a T.V show in America which searches for artefacts from the past, they discovered the long lost time capsule and inside they found the mouse as well as all the other things that were donated on that day.

What would you put in a time capsule for others to find in the future?
